Switching to Bluesky

I’ve switched to Bluesky because it aligns with my values: open standards, user control, and avoiding vendor lock-in. Unlike big-tech controlled platforms like X.com and Facebook/Instagram, which keep users locked into their systems, Bluesky uses the AT Protocol, a decentralized system that gives users more control over their data and identity.

With the AT Protocol, we’re not tied to one platform. You can switch servers without losing your followers or content, just like changing email providers. You can also choose or create your own algorithms to decide what you see, instead of being at the mercy of hidden platform rules. This approach mirrors my preference for tools like Obsidian, where owning and controlling my data matters most. In short, Bluesky shifts power from platforms back to users, making digital spaces more transparent, flexible, and user-driven. Finally.
